smart bike lock
In the class Principals of Engineering, my team of 6 worked on a smart bike lock. When the user is close enough to the arduino controlled lock, their phone sends a signal to the lock via bluetooth to unlock . Myself and two others worked on building our own lock. We explored different types of locking mechanisms and ways to create a bike lock that encased all the electrical components yet has a slim form factor. The goal of the project was to create a well designed concept for a smart lock rather than machining our own durable bike lock. From this project I learned how to work in a larger team and keep everyone engaged at the same time. I also continued to improve on my rapid prototyping skills and how to stay on top of the team schedule to meet deadlines. You can find our final website here.
